EVENT INFORMATION

The 2022 State Referee Conference brings together Queensland referees from all levels of the game ahead of the new season. 

The conference will feature a Laws of the Game update and sessions on referee wellbeing and match day process, with guest presenters from Football Australia, Officiating Collective and Daly & Ritchie. 

Each presentation will include an embedded QR code, with each attendee required to check in on arrival using this QR code. 

All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing for 30 days post conference on fqrefereeconference.com.au

Diana Sheehan

Executive Director

Daly & Ritchie 

Diana co-founded workplace consulting firm Daly & Ritchie after 18 years of experience assisting individuals and teams in modern workplaces. 

Over the past 15 years, Diana has worked extensively with public and private sector organisations as the on-site workplace consultant, counsellor and facilitator. 

Diana is passionate and focused on empowering people to gain an insight and understanding of themselves to reduce the impact of psychosocial risks in the workplace while increasing productivity, creativity and innovation. 

Ash Synnott

Managing Director

Officiating Collective

Ash is a sports administrator with more than 25 years’ experience who has spent time in the sporting industry in both volunteer and professional roles, from community committees and boards to developing high performance programs. 

In his 11 years at Sport Australia and the AIS, Ash was responsible for working with 70+ sports on their Officiating development pathways, programs and curriculum.  

Ash has also been a keynote presenter on officiating development internationally and was the manager of the National Officiating Scholarships for 10 years. 

Edward Lennie

Elite Refereeing Coach

Football Australia

Eddie Lennie is a Football Australia Elite Refereeing Coach and retired FIFA match official.  

Born in Scotland in 1959, Eddie officiated 165 games in the Scottish First Division and 195 matches including four Grand Finals in Australia’s National Soccer League. 

Eddie also refereed at international tournaments including the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. 

A former Head of Referees at Football West, he is currently working as an AFC and FIFA Elite Assessor and Instructor. 

Renae Coghill

Elite Refereeing Coach

Football Australia

Renae Coghill is a Football Australia Elite Refereeing Coach and retired FIFA match official.  

A member of FIFA’s Panel of International Referees from 2015 to 2021, Renae was part of the officiating team at the 2016 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup and 2018 FIFA U20 World Cup. 

She was also a W-League Assistant Referee from 2008 to 2021 and Assistant Referee at three W-League Grand Finals in 2015, 2016 and 2019. 

Originally from Queensland, Renae has been a Football Queensland Referee Academy Coach since 2021.
